Baptism and Communion

Baptism and Communion

 Baptism:
We recognize Baptism as a sign and symbol of God's love and our faithful response.  We recognize that adult confessions of faith are the norm through Christian history, and we recognize the baptism of infants and youth whose parents receive the vows until such time that they can confirm the faith as their own.  We celebrate Baptism regularly as part of our celebrations of worship.  To receive or to schedule a baptism, Contact Pastor Merlyne Smith.

Holy Communion:
We celebrate Holy Communion as a faithful act of worship in which Christ invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin, and seek to live at peace with one other.  In The United Methodist Church, this means that whether you are member of our church, another church, or no church at all, you are invited to come forward to
"taste and see" the Grace of God.  Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st Sunday of the month at our 10:00 a.m. worship services, 3rd Sunday of the month at our 8:30 a.m. worship service, and on other special occasions.
